Trail shoes and pace

Trail shoes are needed year-round for running in the Stonehenge landscape. It can be very muddy in the winter or icy and in the summer potentially quite dusty so good grip is always essential. Long trousers, long sock or running tights are preferable in summer because of the long grass and stinging nettles in certain areas.

We try to pace the run at the pace of the runner/runners and the balance that they want out of running view and information on what they are seeing. At the moment a maximal pace of 8:30 minute miles would be the current limit that your guide would still be able to run and talk to you a the same time! however this might change in future. Most of the time we will be stopped for us to talk to you abut what you are seeing so a faster pace would be possible if you would like.
